Front Desk Coordinator
Position Summary
Seeking a professional, customer-focused Front Desk Coordinator who is fluent in both English and Spanish. This individual will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while supporting front office operations in a fast-paced community health center.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients while delivering excellent customer service.
- Answer and route high-volume incoming phone calls.
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
- Verify insurance eligibility and collect patient demographics.
- Register new patients and update existing patient information.
- Collect copays and process patient payments.
- Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR system.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow.
- Assist with referrals, authorizations, scanning, faxing, and other administrative duties as needed.
- Ensure patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
Qualifications:
Fluent in both English and Spanish (required).
Experience with appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and patient registration.
Knowledge of HMO, PPO, Medicare, and Medi-Cal preferred.
Experience using an EMR/EHR system (Epic, NextGen, eClinicalWorks, etc.) preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
Friendly, professional demeanor with a passion for serving diverse patient populations.
Compensation
