Controller
We are looking for an experienced Controller to lead core accounting and financial operations for our client in West Palm Beach, Florida. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial reporting, strengthening cash management practices, and supporting sound business decisions through disciplined cost analysis and operational oversight. The ideal candidate brings strong controllership expertise, experience in inventory and manufacturing cost accounting, and the ability to guide essential finance functions in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Direct the month-end close process and ensure timely preparation of accurate financial statements and supporting reports.
• Lead inventory and cost accounting activities, including analysis of product costs, valuation, and related financial impacts.
• Manage daily treasury operations by monitoring cash positions, overseeing liquidity, and producing reliable cash flow forecasts.
• Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions to promote accuracy, compliance, and efficient processing.
• Maintain strong internal financial controls and identify opportunities to improve accounting procedures and reporting consistency.
• Support implementation and effective use of financial systems and reporting tools, including advanced Excel-based analysis.
• Partner with operational leadership to review financial performance, explain variances, and provide actionable recommendations.
• Ensure accounting records are maintained in accordance with company policies and applicable financial standards.
Qualifications:
• At least 7 years of experience in controllership, assistant controller, or controller-level positions.
• Demonstrated expertise in month-end close, financial reporting, and financial statement preparation.
• Strong background in inventory management, manufacturing cost accounting, and broader cost accounting practices.
• Experience overseeing treasury activities, including daily cash management and cash flow forecasting.
• Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll supervision.
• Ability to analyze financial data, improve processes, and communicate clearly with leadership and cross-functional teams.
Compensation
