Position: Litigation Paralegal
Location: Chicago, IL
Work Arrangement: Hybrid after 90 days: 4 days in office, 1 day remote
Job Description:
A reputable law firm is seeking a Litigation Paralegal with 5+ years of experience to support its Chicago office. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and able to provide high-level litigation support in a fast-paced legal environment.
Essential Duties
· Demonstrate strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
· Provide proactive support to attorneys
· Respond to requests with urgency and prioritize assignments effectively
· Utilize eDiscovery software to organize and manipulate data for document production requests
· Edit and proofread documents for accuracy and compliance with applicable federal, state, and local court rules
· Maintain familiarity with litigation processes and procedures
· Monitor and track case deadlines proactively
· Manage case activity and notify attorneys of required actions
· Communicate clearly and professionally
· File documents electronically with courts
· Draft legal documents and filings
· Assist with deposition, mediation, arbitration, and trial preparation
· Use Microsoft Office applications effectively
· Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
· Exercise sound judgment and escalate issues as needed
Qualifications:
Requirements
· 3+ years of related experience in a law firm or legal setting
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Experience with eDiscovery software, including Relativity and Trial Director
· Strong command of English language and grammar
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary: $80,000–$110,000, depending on experience
