Senior Asset Manager
Responsibilities:
• Shape and implement property-specific strategies that improve occupancy, revenue, cash flow, and overall portfolio value.
• Direct the day-to-day asset management of multifamily communities across conventional, affordable, and regulated housing segments.
• Review financial statements, operating trends, rent activity, and portfolio metrics to identify performance gaps and recommend corrective actions.
• Conduct periodic site visits, including unscheduled inspections, and summarize findings with clear recommendations for operational improvement.
• Collaborate with property management teams to control expenses, enhance performance, and support achievement of annual financial targets.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and business planning efforts for assigned assets, ensuring alignment with ownership goals and market conditions.
• Oversee compliance with affordable housing rules, regulatory obligations, loan agreements, and investor requirements across the portfolio.
• Assess capital projects, renovation initiatives, refinancing activity, reserve usage, and other value-enhancing investments while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare performance updates, capital requests, and strategic recommendations for executive leadership, ownership groups, lenders, and equity partners.
• Support broader portfolio initiatives such as acquisitions, dispositions, due diligence reviews, stabilization milestones, tax matters, and market analysis.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.• At least 8 years of progressive asset management experience within the multifamily real estate sector.
• Demonstrated knowledge of affordable housing programs and regulated assets, including tax credit and HUD-related environments.
• Strong capability in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and investment performance analysis.
• Solid understanding of multifamily operations, capital planning, debt compliance, and property-level financial management.
• Experience working with ownership groups, institutional partners, lenders, and senior leadership teams.
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to interpret data and present actionable insights clearly.
• Familiarity with OneSite or similar real estate management platforms is preferred.
