Sr. Accountant

Dawoud Kazimee with Robert Half is searching for an experienced Senior Accountant to support fund accounting and financial oversight within our investment advisory business. This role is responsible for delivering accurate reporting, guiding audit and tax activities, and partnering across finance to evaluate the accounting effects of fund-related transactions. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, sound analytical judgment, and the ability to improve processes while supporting the development of entry-level team members.

Responsibilities:

• Examine fund-level financial reports for entities operating in multiple international jurisdictions and confirm completeness, accuracy, and consistency.

• Lead coordination of annual and periodic fund audits by preparing documentation, responding to auditor questions, and tracking open items through resolution.

• Build and monitor fund budgets, assess variances against expectations, and ensure expenses are classified appropriately within the general ledger.

• Supervise the quality of work prepared by third-party fund administrators and validate the reliability of accounting records and financial reporting.

• Oversee tax-related fund obligations across global structures in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to support timely compliance.

• Collaborate with corporate finance and related business groups to interpret transactions and assess their accounting impact on the organization and its funds.

• Provide clear accounting guidance to internal partners in response to client-driven questions and reporting needs.

• Coach and support accounting associates through training, review, and ongoing career development.

• Strengthen operational effectiveness by documenting procedures and identifying opportunities to streamline or automate recurring accounting workflows.

Salary Range:

$90,000–$100,000 base salary

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• At least 5 years of accounting and/or audit experience, preferably in environments involving complex financial reporting.
• Hands-on experience preparing and reviewing financial statements with a strong understanding of accounting accuracy and presentation.
• Background in financial planning and analysis, including budgeting support and variance evaluation.
• Working knowledge of month-end close activities, journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliations.
• Experience in fund accounting or related investment structures is strongly preferred.
• Ability to analyze financial information, communicate accounting concepts clearly, and work effectively with cross-functional teams.

$100,000.00-$125,000.00 Yearly
