Payroll/Commission Specialist
We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to support an organization. This Long-term Contract position will manage accurate and timely payroll processing for a mixed employee population while also overseeing commission payments for sales-related team members. The ideal candidate brings strong payroll knowledge, commissions management, attention to detail, and the ability to work confidently across compensation scenarios in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Process end-to-end payroll for approximately 250 employees, including hourly, salaried, and salaried non-exempt team members.
• Administer commission payments for roughly 50 individuals, ensuring calculations are accurate and issued on schedule.
• Review payroll data for completeness and resolve discrepancies related to earnings, deductions, time records, and pay classifications.
• Maintain compliance with multi-state payroll regulations and internal compensation policies.
• Reconcile payroll and commission records, supporting accurate reporting and audit readiness.
• Use ADP TotalSource and Excel to manage payroll inputs, validate data, and prepare supporting documentation.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to address payroll questions and ensure timely resolution of compensation-related issues.
Qualifications:
• Experience handling full-cycle payroll in a business environment that requires strong attention to detail.• Working knowledge of multi-state payroll practices and compliance requirements.
• Background managing commission-based compensation and related accounting support.
• Proficiency with ADP TotalSource or similar payroll platforms.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills for reconciliation, reporting, and data review.
• Ability to process payroll accurately for employees across multiple pay structures.
• High attention to detail with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
