Controller
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the day-to-day work of accounts payable/accounts receivable and payroll staff, providing direction and ensuring timely, accurate processing.
• Manage the general ledger function and drive the full financial reporting cycle, including the preparation and review of key statements and supporting schedules.
• Lead month-end close activities by coordinating reconciliations, validating entries, and resolving discrepancies to maintain reporting accuracy.
• Develop, organize, and document standard operating procedures to improve consistency, accountability, and process clarity across accounting workflows.
• Support financial planning efforts by contributing to budgets, forecasts, and analytical models that assist leadership with business decisions.
• Review accounting data and internal controls to identify opportunities for stronger compliance, efficiency, and reporting reliability.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to gather financial information, explain results, and ensure reporting deadlines are met.
• Assist with accounting process alignment within Dynamics and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central environments when needed as part of ongoing operational responsibilities.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in a Controller or senior accounting leadership role with responsibility for controllership and financial reporting.• Strong knowledge of general ledger management, month-end close, and the preparation of accurate financial statements.
• Hands-on experience supervising accounting support functions such as AP/AR and payroll.
• Background in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling within a business or corporate environment.
• Working knowledge of Dynamics and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Ability to create and maintain clear standard operating procedures and process documentation.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a contract role.
Compensation
