Financial Analyst - Demand Planner
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with account leaders to build and maintain reliable demand forecasts for domestic and Canadian customer business.
• Review prior sales performance, inventory movement, and market activity to uncover trends that influence short- and long-term demand expectations.
• Lead the monthly sales and operations planning cycle, ensuring cross-functional alignment on forecast assumptions and supply needs.
• Track forecast performance and planning metrics, then communicate results, gaps, and corrective actions to relevant stakeholders.
• Develop practical recommendations that improve inventory positioning, minimize shortages, and reduce surplus product exposure.
• Monitor material shifts in customer demand and escalate risks or opportunities that may affect finished goods planning.
• Coordinate with global supply chain partners, including teams in the UK, to share forecast updates and support accountability across planning activities.
• Identify excess and obsolete finished goods risk on a regular basis and partner with internal teams on mitigation and prevention strategies.
Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, demand planning, forecasting, or a related analytical role.• Strong capability in financial analysis and financial modeling to support planning decisions and business recommendations.
• Experience performing ad hoc analysis and variance analysis in a fast-paced business environment.
• Proficiency in data mining techniques and working with large data sets to generate meaningful insights.
• Ability to interpret sales, inventory, and market data to support forecast development and inventory optimization.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across account management, operations, and supply chain teams.
• Detail-oriented approach with proven ability to identify risk, quantify impact, and recommend practical actions.
