Accounting Manager/Supervisor

Kevin Wong with Robert Half is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to lead core accounting activities for a manufacturing organization. This role is responsible for guiding daily financial operations, strengthening internal processes, and ensuring accurate reporting across areas such as the general ledger, inventory, cost accounting, and fixed assets. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, leadership experience, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams while supporting audits, forecasting, and ongoing operational improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Lead day-to-day accounting activities across general ledger, cost accounting, inventory, fixed assets, and related financial processes.

• Review and maintain the accuracy of financial records by overseeing journal entries, accruals, account analysis, and reconciliations.

• Provide guidance to team members on transaction coding, reconciliation methods, and appropriate accounting treatment.

• Partner with internal departments to resolve issues promptly and maintain strong working relationships across the organization.

• Evaluate existing workflows, recommend improvements, and manage projects that increase efficiency and strengthen controls.

• Ensure accounting transactions and procedures comply with company standards, policies, and reporting requirements.

• Track outstanding inquiries and unresolved transactions, taking proactive steps to drive timely follow-up and closure.

• Supervise, coach, and evaluate staff by setting goals, supporting career development, and addressing performance concerns when needed.

• Contribute to corporate reporting, budgeting support, financial analysis, and annual audit activities as assigned.

Salary Range: $110,000–$125,000

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, business, or a closely related discipline.
• At least five years of accounting experience, including a minimum of two years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, month-end close activities, reconciliations, and journal entry preparation.
• Background in inventory and cost accounting within a manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
• Experience supporting financial statement audits and working with complex accounting structures, including multi-entity or intercompany environments, is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, especially Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Experience using ERP platforms, with Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred.
• Effective communication, analytical thinking, time management, and problem-solving skills, with a collaborative approach to leadership.

Compensation

$110,000.00-$125,000.00 Yearly
