Sr. Accountant
Responsibilities:
• Oversee core components of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close cycle, including preparing and recording journal entries and maintaining supporting documentation.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, investigate variances, and resolve issues to ensure accuracy and completeness in financial reporting.
• Work closely with finance, operational leaders, and other business partners to address accounting questions and support day-to-day business activities.
• Prepare schedules and documentation for audit requests and provide clear explanations for accounting treatments during internal and external reviews.
• Recommend and implement improvements that strengthen accounting workflows, internal controls, and overall efficiency, including support for automation efforts.
• Apply accounting policies consistently and assist in interpreting procedures for transactions and reporting matters.
• Offer day-to-day guidance to less experienced accounting team members and help promote best practices across the department.
• Support general ledger maintenance and bank or account reconciliation activities to ensure reliable financial data.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.• 4 to 6 years of accounting experience in a relevant environment.
• Hands-on experience with month-end close, general ledger activity, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Ability to work accurately under deadlines while maintaining strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with teams across multiple functions.
• Advanced spreadsheet skills and familiarity with enterprise accounting systems or close management platforms.
• Experience working in a compliance-driven environment and exercising sound accounting judgment.
• No travel is required for this position.
Compensation
