Accounts Receivable Clerk

Our manufacturing client in Ontario is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join their finance team. This role is responsible for supporting the full accounts receivable cycle, including invoicing, payment application, account reconciliation, and collections follow-up. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a high level of accuracy, and experience working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate and issue customer invoices accurately and on time
• Apply incoming payments and reconcile customer accounts
• Monitor aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues
• Communicate with customers regarding account status and outstanding balances
• Maintain accurate records of transactions and collections activity
• Support month-end closing activities related to accounts receivable
• Prepare AR reports for management as needed
• Collaborate with sales, customer service, and operations teams to resolve account issues
• Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• 1+ years of accounts receivable, billing, or related accounting experience
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Postsecondary education in accounting, finance, or business is an asset

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with high-volume invoicing
• Experience with account reconciliation and collections
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with internal departments and external customers
