Senior Staff Accountant

Robert Half is partnering with an innovative and rapidly growing San Diego company seeking a talented Senior Staff Accountant to join its expanding finance team. This is not your typical accounting role. What You'll Be Doing

• Lead month-end and year-end close activities
• Prepare and review journal entries and reconciliations
• Analyze financial statements and trends
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting initiatives
• Support external audits and tax compliance efforts
• Maintain and improve internal controls
• Reconcile complex balance sheet accounts
• Partner with department leaders on financial reporting needs
• Assist with cash flow management and analysis
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience with ERP systems
• CPA or CPA-track preferred
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
