Accounts Payable Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client's accounting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing vendor invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely payments, and supporting the overall accounting function. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and process vendor invoices accurately and timely.
• Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documentation.
• Code invoices to the appropriate general ledger accounts.
• Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
• Maintain vendor records, including W-9 forms and payment information.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor inquiries.
• Reconcile vendor statements and accounts payable balances.
• Assist with month-end closing activities, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls.
• Support annual audits by providing requested documentation and schedules.
• Assist with 1099 preparation and reporting.
• Collaborate with internal departments regarding invoice approvals and payment status.

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Compensation

$48,000.00-$52,000.00 Yearly
