Full Job Description

Our client is looking for an organized and customer-focused Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their accounting team. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys building customer relationships while ensuring timely collections, accurate cash application, and efficient accounts receivable operations.

The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Generate and distribute customer invoices accurately and on schedule
• Apply customer payments, including checks, ACH, wire transfers, and credit card payments
• Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances
• Contact customers regarding overdue invoices while maintaining positive business relationships
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues
• Reconcile customer accounts and prepare account statements
• Maintain accurate customer records and credit information
• Assist with month-end close, AR reconciliations, and reporting
• Partner with sales, customer service, and accounting teams to resolve invoice disputes
• Prepare reports related to collections, aging, and cash receipts
• Support process improvements and internal controls within the accounts receivable function

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Accounts Receivable experience
• Experience with billing, cash application, and collections
• Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Excel and ERP/accounting software (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, QuickBooks, or similar)
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
