Accounts Payable Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our accounting team. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for processing invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments, maintaining vendor records, and supporting the overall accounts payable function. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and process vendor invoices for payment.
• Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documentation.
• Prepare and process check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate vendor files and payment records.
• Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status and account information.
• Assist with month-end closing activities and account reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.
• Support audits by providing documentation and account details as requested.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve invoicing and payment issues.

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 1+ years of accounts payable, accounting, or bookkeeping experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software or ERP systems.
• Strong data entry and organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Sage, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and accounts payable best practices.
• Experience processing high volumes of invoices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
