Sr. Financial Analyst

A growing organization in the Nashville market is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst for a contract engagement. This role will support leadership with financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and operational analysis while helping drive strategic decision-making across the business. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, partnering with department leaders, and transforming financial data into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans.
• Analyze financial results, identify trends, variances, and business drivers, and provide recommendations to leadership.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting packages.
• Support month-end close by partnering with accounting and operational teams.
• Build and enhance financial models to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.
• Create dashboards and reporting tools to improve visibility into key performance indicators.
• Perform profitability, revenue, expense, and operational analyses.
• Assist with ad hoc reporting, business case development, and special projects.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy.
• Present findings and recommendations to management in a clear and concise manner.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of progressive financial analysis, FP& A, or corporate finance experience.
• Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, complex formulas, and data analysis techniques.
• Experience working with ERP systems such as D365, SAP, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence tools preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience supporting manufacturing, distribution, or multi-site operations preferred, but can consider other industry backgrounds.
• Exposure to process improvement initiatives and financial reporting automation.
• Prior experience in a contract, consulting, or project-based environment is a plus.
