Staff Accountant| Real Estate | East Bay; Hybrid
A nationally recognized real estate development company is seeking a Staff Accountant to join a highly collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle accounts payable process, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and account reconciliations.
- Prepare journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts, and support the month-end and year-end close process.
- Assist with preparing financial statements and maintaining accurate accounting records for real estate entities.
- Support cash management activities, including bank reconciliations and monitoring account balances.
- Prepare audit schedules and provide documentation for external audits, tax filings, and compliance reporting.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and contribute to special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably within real estate, real estate development, construction, or a multi-entity environment.
- Hands-on experience with full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice processing, coding, and vendor management.
- Strong general ledger accounting experience, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Experience with Yardi is strongly preferred; familiarity with MRI or similar accounting systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of G& A expense coding and invoice processing within an ERP or property management system preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation
