Accounts Receivable Clerk
Responsibilities:
• Process customer invoices and maintain accurate accounts receivable records to support timely payment activity.
• Apply incoming cash receipts to the appropriate customer accounts and investigate discrepancies when remittance details are unclear.
• Monitor aging reports, contact commercial clients regarding overdue balances, and document collection efforts consistently.
• Reconcile account activity by reviewing unapplied payments, short pays, deductions, and other billing variances.
• Partner with internal teams to resolve invoice questions, payment disputes, and customer account issues that may delay collection.
• Support billing operations by verifying transaction details, preparing account updates, and ensuring receivable data remains current.
• Use SAP and related financial systems to track receivables, post payment activity, and generate account information as needed.
Qualifications:
• Experience handling accounts receivable tasks in a detail-focused business environment.• Working knowledge of commercial collections and customer follow-up practices.
• Ability to post cash applications accurately and research payment exceptions.
• Familiarity with billing processes, account reconciliation, and receivables reporting.
• Proficiency using SAP for financial or receivables-related activities.
• Strong organizational skills with careful attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with customers and internal stakeholders.
Compensation
