The Director of Human Resources for Duininck Golf is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping our people strategy, strengthening our culture, and enabling sustainable growth. Serving as a strategic advisor to leadership and hands-on partner to the field, this role ensures our workforce is engaged, supported, and aligned with business objectives across construction sites and office environments.

This leader will balance building and executing scalable HR programs while remaining closely connected to employees and leaders at every level of the organization.

The Role:

  • Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute HR strategies that support business goals, growth, culture and workforce needs.
  • Use data and business insights to assist in forecasting workforce needs and develop people strategies that align to organizational goals and enhance overall performance.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and business leaders to execute a staffing strategy that attracts and retains top talent.
  • Build expertise in strategic staffing capabilities and decisions including direct, temporary and H2B employees.
  • Oversee employee onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure smooth transitions, consistent experiences, and accurate completion of required steps and documentation.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations, culture, engagement, and leadership effectiveness.
  • Champion initiatives that strengthen culture, engagement and morale across construction sites and offices.
  • Build authentic relationships with employees to understand their needs and provide proactive support.
  • Ensure HR policies, practices, documentation, and employment decisions are consistent, compliant, and aligned with company expectations.
  • Assist in policy development to promote organizational efficiency and compliance.
  • Coach leaders on performance management, feedback, accountability, team development, and effective people leadership.
  • Partner with Director of Workforce Operations to identify development needs and support training, leadership development, and skill-building across a broad range of skills and competencies.
  • Work with the Safety and Operations leaders to communicate and reinforce safety policies and support incident investigations.
  • Support organizational change initiatives through transparent communication and effective transition management.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations and internal policies.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and documentation.

Work Environment:

  • Primarily office-based position in Delano, MN with travel to job sites across U.S. as needed.
  • Comfortable being on an active construction site in any weather conditions.
  • Ability to meet all workplace safety requirements.

  • Solid business acumen and sound judgment, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluency in English required, Spanish proficiency is a plus.
  • Proficient with technology, including Microsoft Office and cloud-based software.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, with a minimum of 8 years of experience in HR or Management.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
