Responsibilities
SAM is seeking a licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to join our growing team. We are looking to connect with survey professionals across a variety of experience levels and backgrounds who are passionate about delivering high-quality surveying services and contributing to the success of our clients and teams.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare, review, and oversee survey deliverables including boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, construction, and right-of-way surveys.
- Provide technical guidance and quality assurance for survey projects.
- Coordinate with field and office staff to ensure projects are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
- Interpret deeds, plats, legal descriptions, easements, and other survey records.
- Communicate with clients, engineers, contractors, and public agencies.
- Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation, as appropriate for experience level.
- Mentor and develop junior survey staff.
- Contribute to business development and client relationship efforts, where applicable.
- Ensure compliance with applicable state regulations, company standards, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in one or more states, or ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity.
- Experience in land surveying, with responsibilities appropriate to your career level.
- Knowledge of survey principles, procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Familiarity with industry-standard software and technology such as Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, MicroStation, Carlson, Leica, Trimble, or similar platforms is preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
