Position Description

The C&M Photographer II - Event Photographer and Videographer is responsible for capturing high-quality photography and videography at university events and delivering timely, engaging content that supports TTUHSC's communications and marketing efforts. This role serves as the primary visual storyteller for events across campuses and communities, ensuring key moments are documented in a way that reflects the university's mission and strategic priorities. In addition to event coverage, this position supports the production team with multimedia projects, including video shoots, interviews and campaign-related content. The role requires flexibility, strong technical skills and the ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environments. This position is a full-time role and reports to the Production Manager for Communications & Marketing.

Major/Essential Functions

  • Embody the TTUHSC shared values of kindhearted, integrity, one team, visionary and beyond service.
  • Follow all TTUS and TTUHSC Operating, IT and Safety policies and complete all training as required.
  • Capture high-quality photography and video at university events, including ceremonies, clinical environments, academic programs and community engagements.
  • Edit and deliver high-quality photo and video content optimized for web, digital and social platforms.
  • Support the production team on multimedia projects between events. Assist with presidential video shoots and interviews.
  • Maintain efficiency while continuing to grow skillsets. Manage time effectively to meet deadlines across multiple assignments.
  • Maintain equipment and organize digital assets. Ensure all photography and videography equipment is maintained and ready for use.
  • This position qualifies to work remotely on a hybrid schedule. New employees will have a 90-day probationary period, at which time remote work will be discussed. Remote work performance will be reviewed quarterly and may be terminated at any time the arrangement is no longer in the best interest of the External Relations team and/or TTUHSC.


Occasional Duties

  • Travel as needed.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the University and External Relations Division by performing other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications

Completion of high school or the equivalent plus two years responsible photographic work. College level photographic course work can exchange for experience on a 15 hours for every one year of required experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience covering live events in higher education, health care or agency settings. Familiarity with brand guidelines and storytelling within a strategic communications environment. Proficiency with Apple computers and Microsoft Office. Experience working within project management systems (e.g., Asana). Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proactive communication style and client-service mindset.
