Overview
Responsible to the Production Engineering Department Manager. Works with machinists to support production line workstations and assembly fixtures. Coordinates with independent contractors on production engineering activities.

Responsible to the Production Engineering Department Manager. Works with machinists to support production line workstations and assembly fixtures. Coordinates with independent contractors on production engineering activities.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates activities between in-house machine shop machinists and production engineering. This includes verifying drawings issued by engineers for machinists' responsibilities.
- Design production line workstations and assembly fixtures for existing and new products.
- Assist maintenance in repair of production line equipment as needed.
- Assist facilities maintenance when repair is needed for building and related equipment on premises.
- Responsible for the management of independent contractors working on projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with 2 years of experience or 10 years of related experience.
- Experience in manufacturing automated mechanical processes.
- Knowledge and experience with machine shop tools and equipment preferred.
- Proficient in using AutoCAD.
