We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Technician to support our Armament Systems site in Mesa, AZ.
Armament Systems is a leading supplier of integrated medium-caliber weapon systems for land, air and sea platforms through its world-renowned Bushmaster® line of automatic cannons produced at its Mesa, Arizona facility.
Schedule – This position will support 1st shift
Responsibilities
- Inspect purchased materials, assembled components, and final assemblies for conformity to standards, specifications, and processing requirements.
- Inspects for proper identification and dimensions using such measuring devices as micrometers, gauges, and calipers.
- Visually inspects for obvious defects or damage such as corrosion, cracks, dents, scratches, and pits.
- Verifies specifications using contracts, purchase orders, prints, drawing or inspection instructions, and checklists.
- Inspections may involve or three-dimensional projections using inspection equipment such as bore and telescope gauges, and optical comparators.
- Makes accept/reject decisions on inspected goods. Maintains records of results.
- Crosstrain across quality functions.
- Perform First Article Inspections.
- Interact with DCMA and other customer representatives.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent plus 2 years of experience as an inspector or closely related quality control position.
- Experience with purchase order, contract, specification and drawing interpretations.
- Print reading and GDT experience.
- Basic PC skills including knowledge of MS Office products.
