Warehouse Lead
Job Description:
Are you a highly organized, hands-on warehouse professional with strong leadership skills and a commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence? We are seeking a Warehouse Lead to oversee the daily shipping, receiving, inventory, and material movement activities within our facility. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring products and materials move efficiently throughout the operation while supporting on-time delivery to our customers.
The Warehouse Lead serves as the primary coordinator for warehouse operations, working closely with production, customer service, vendors, and carriers to maintain accurate inventory, safe working conditions, and efficient material flow.
Essential Responsibilities
As a Warehouse Lead, you will:
Lead daily warehouse operations, including planning, scheduling, and preparing materials and finished goods for shipment.
Coordinate inbound and outbound freight, including scheduling trucks and managing carrier communications.
Maintain shipping and receiving documentation while partnering with Customer Service to ensure timely order fulfillment.
Coordinate and support warehouse safety programs, including 5S initiatives and adherence to company safety standards.
Operate forklifts and ensure daily forklift safety inspections are completed.
Coordinate maintenance and upkeep of dock equipment and warehouse assets.
Manage daily material movement processes to support production and customer requirements.
Order and manage warehouse and operational supplies.
Utilize ERP systems to support inventory movement, material transactions, and reporting.
Ensure accurate system transactions for all incoming and outgoing materials.
Lead cycle count activities, investigate inventory discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in special projects as assigned.
Provide direction and guidance to material handlers to ensure priorities and operational goals are achieved.
What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum of 3 years of warehouse experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
Current forklift certification.
Experience with shipping and receiving processes and inventory control.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
Experience working with ERP systems.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with the ability to prioritize competing demands.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
Ability to analyze information, solve problems, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate degree or equivalent education and experience.
Experience leading or coordinating the activities of warehouse personnel.
Exposure to cycle counting, inventory management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Physical Requirements
Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, reach, communicate, and use hands and arms throughout the workday.
Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment
This position operates within both office and manufacturing environments. Employees may be exposed to varying temperatures, airborne particles, moving mechanical equipment, and elevated noise levels when working in production areas. Required personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn in designated areas. Compensation Information:
The starting base pay for this position is $27.00/hour.
