Accountant

We are looking for an Accountant to join a finance team on a Long-term Contract basis. This role is well suited for an accounting specialist who can bring strong reconciliation expertise, identify and correct ledger inconsistencies, and help maintain reliable financial data. The position will play an important part in preparing audit-ready records while working closely with colleagues to meet key reporting and project timelines.

Responsibilities:
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate variances to ensure balances are accurate and properly supported.
• Review accounting records to identify unresolved items, correct inconsistencies, and improve the overall integrity of the ledger.
• Prepare audit support materials, including schedules and organized documentation, to assist with internal or external audit requests.
• Maintain complete and accurate financial records by verifying entries and following established accounting procedures.
• Partner with members of the accounting team to complete deliverables within required deadlines.
• Research discrepancies across accounts and recommend appropriate adjustments to bring records into alignment.

Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience performing general ledger reconciliations in an accounting environment that requires close attention to detail.
• Strong knowledge of bank reconciliations and the ability to resolve account differences efficiently.
• High level of accuracy with close attention to detail when reviewing financial information.
• Ability to organize documentation and manage multiple priorities in support of audit preparation.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial record maintenance.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional team members.

Compensation

$25.00-$25.00 Hourly
