Medical Receptionist
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate patient appointments and manage provider calendars to keep daily schedules accurate and efficient.
• Welcome patients upon arrival, guide the check-in and check-out process, and help create a positive office experience.
• Enter and update patient demographic, insurance, and billing information with a high level of accuracy.
• Maintain electronic medical documentation in the organization’s records platform and ensure information remains current.
• Support day-to-day office operations by organizing front desk activities and helping services run smoothly.
• Assist with processing insurance-related information and administrative data needed for claims handling.
• Communicate with patients and internal staff to address routine questions and keep appointments and records organized.
Qualifications:
• Comfort working with electronic medical records systems; prior exposure to a healthcare documentation platform is preferred.• Clear verbal and written communication skills for interacting professionally with patients, providers, and staff.
• Strong customer service approach with the ability to remain patient, respectful, and empathetic.
• Good organizational habits and close attention to detail when handling schedules, records, and data entry.
• Basic familiarity with medical terminology and common front office procedures in a healthcare setting.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings or weekends when needed.
• Understanding of patient privacy expectations and the importance of handling confidential information appropriately.
• No prior experience is required; training will be provided for someone eager to learn and grow in the role.
Compensation
