Accounts Payable Specialist
Responsibilities:
• Review incoming invoices, assign accurate general ledger coding, and prepare items for processing in accordance with company procedures.
• Handle accounts payable transactions from receipt through payment, ensuring deadlines are met and records remain complete and organized.
• Process ACH payments and assist with scheduled check runs to support timely disbursement to vendors.
• Verify invoice details, resolve discrepancies, and communicate with internal teams or suppliers to address payment-related questions.
• Maintain clear documentation for payable activity and support accurate reconciliation of vendor accounts.
• Monitor outstanding items and follow up as needed to prevent delays, duplicate payments, or coding errors.
Qualifications:
• Demonstrated experience working in accounts payable within a fast-paced business environment.• Practical knowledge of invoice review, account coding, and payment processing procedures.
• Hands-on experience supporting ACH transactions and preparing check disbursements.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify inconsistencies and maintain accurate financial records.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Proficiency with standard accounting systems and Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel.
