Paralegal

We are looking for a detail-oriented Paralegal to support a legal team within the plastics manufacturing industry in Oak Brook, Illinois. This Long-term Contract position will play a key role in maintaining day-to-day legal operations, coordinating documentation, and helping attorneys stay organized and responsive to business needs. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing administrative legal tasks, preparing and reviewing documents, and working confidently with Microsoft Office, shared files, and document databases.

Responsibilities:
• Review and organize routine legal agreements such as nondisclosure documents and selected supplier-related contracts.
• Prepare contracts, correspondence, and other legal materials with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Maintain records for corporate entities and keep related documentation current and accessible.
• Assemble and track materials needed to support corporate transactions and related legal matters.
• Conduct due diligence research and compile findings into clear, usable reports for the legal team.
• Coordinate administrative legal workflows, including onboarding outside counsel vendors and processing invoices.
• Monitor legal spend by gathering billing updates, including accrued and unbilled amounts, from external law firms.
• Retrieve documents from shared drives and databases to ensure attorneys have timely access to the information they need.
• Provide consistent operational support that helps keep core legal and business processes moving efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Experience supporting legal operations, paralegal activities, contract administration, or related business processes. • Familiarity with reviewing, organizing, or preparing legal agreements and corporate documents. • Ability to manage multiple administrative priorities while maintaining accuracy and follow-through. • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. • Comfort using shared drives, digital files, and document management databases. • Strong organizational skills and the ability to gather information efficiently for attorneys and stakeholders. • Background in corporate entities, contract management, corporate law, or similar legal support work is preferred.
The pay range for this position is $35 to $45. Benefits available to contract/contract professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
