Full Charge Bookkeeper
Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily bookkeeping operations across the full accounting cycle, ensuring records are complete, timely, and accurate.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll activities while maintaining proper documentation and financial controls.
• Reconcile bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
• Maintain the general ledger by recording transactions accurately and reviewing financial activity for errors or inconsistencies.
• Contribute to month-end and year-end closing tasks, including preparation of supporting schedules and financial reports.
• Assist with tax-related accounting work, including sales tax, payroll tax, and corporate tax support as needed.
• Track fixed assets and maintain depreciation schedules to support accurate financial reporting.
• Handle weekly invoice processing volume and ensure vendor and customer transactions are entered correctly.
• Support job costing and cost tracking for manufacturing and project-based work to improve financial visibility.
• Partner with leadership and external accounting resources on cleanup efforts, process improvements, and future system automation or enhancement initiatives.
Qualifications:
• At least 5 years of experience in a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar accounting role.• Strong working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger activity, and account reconciliations.
• Experience supporting tax functions, including sales tax, payroll taxes, corporate tax processes, and depreciation accounting.
• Ability to identify accounting issues, research discrepancies, and implement accurate corrections independently.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks, Excel, and other accounting software platforms.
• Familiarity with job costing and financial tracking in manufacturing, construction, or other project-driven environments is preferred.
• Experience with systems such as Computer Ease, Epicor, or similar accounting platforms is a plus.
• High attention to detail with the ability to stay organized and accurate in a fast-paced onsite setting.
