Sr. Accountant
Responsibilities:
• Lead monthly close activities by preparing and reviewing entries, coordinating deadlines, and ensuring financial data is recorded accurately.
• Maintain the general ledger by analyzing account activity, resolving discrepancies, and supporting consistent accounting practices.
• Prepare journal entries with appropriate support and verify that transactions are posted in line with company policies and reporting requirements.
• Perform account reconciliations on a regular basis, investigate variances, and follow through on corrective actions as needed.
• Complete bank reconciliations by matching cash activity, identifying outstanding items, and escalating unusual transactions for review.
• Assist with financial reporting by organizing schedules, supporting documentation, and other accounting records needed for internal review.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to gather transaction details, clarify accounting treatment, and improve the accuracy of financial information.
Qualifications:
• Demonstrated experience managing month-end close responsibilities in an accounting environment with strong attention to detail.• Strong working knowledge of general ledger processes and the flow of financial transactions.
• Proven ability to prepare and review journal entries with a high degree of accuracy.
• Hands-on experience performing account reconciliations and researching variances independently.
• Practical experience completing bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate cash records.
• Solid analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
• Proficiency with standard accounting systems and spreadsheet tools used for financial analysis and reporting.
Compensation
