Accounting Manager
Responsibilities:
• Direct daily accounting activities across payables, receivables, and general ledger maintenance to support accurate and timely financial operations.
• Lead the month-end close process by preparing entries, reviewing account activity, and ensuring financial records are complete.
• Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts to identify variances, resolve discrepancies, and maintain reporting accuracy.
• Partner with an outsourced accounting firm to coordinate deliverables, share financial information, and support consistent accounting practices.
• Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate documentation and alignment to company accounting policies.
• Assist with audit readiness by organizing financial records, responding to requests, and supporting financial statement review activities.
• Help guide the organization’s progression from cash accounting to accrual accounting through process execution and financial analysis.
• Contribute to special projects and ad hoc accounting assignments that support business growth and operational improvement.
Qualifications:
• Demonstrated experience managing month-end close activities in a hands-on accounting environment.• Strong working knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation practices.
• Ability to prepare and review journal entries with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience supporting financial statement audits and responding to audit-related requests.
• Background overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Comfortable collaborating with external accounting partners and internal stakeholders.
• Prior experience in construction or a similar project-based industry is highly preferred.
