Senior Accountant

We are looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to manage key financial operations and ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies. This role plays a vital part in preparing accurate financial reports, supporting audits, and maintaining internal controls. Based in Austin, Texas, you will collaborate with various teams to streamline processes and provide valuable financial insights.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and oversee month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
• Manage general ledger operations, including posting journal entries and maintaining account integrity.
• Reconcile complex accounts, including bank reconciliations, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Generate detailed financial statements and reports to support business decision-making.
• Assist in coordinating and preparing for audits, ensuring all required documentation is available.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance accounting processes and improve efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards and company policies in all financial activities.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Support ad-hoc financial projects and reporting requests as needed.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in managing month-end and year-end close processes.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger operations and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts.
• Experience with bank reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
• Solid understanding of internal controls and compliance with accounting standards.
• Ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable recommendations.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is a plus.

Compensation

$90,000.00-$105,000.00 Yearly
