Overview

The Senior Manager of Information Technology provides hands-on leadership for the organization's technology operations, cloud application environment, and practical digital initiatives. This role serves as a trusted business partner to the CFO, CEO, and functional leaders, aligning technology investments and capabilities with the company's operational priorities, growth plans, and post-carveout needs.

The Senior Manager is responsible for leading a pragmatic 12–24 month IT roadmap while ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable technology solutions that support manufacturing operations across multiple facilities. This leader fosters innovation, drives continuous improvement, strengthens cybersecurity, and builds a high-performing IT organization that delivers measurable business value.

This role is the Head of IT for Arrowhead Winch and is expected to lead the deployment, integration, and optimization of cloud-based applications and services, including Microsoft 365, AWS and/or Google Cloud, HubSpot, collaboration tools, data platforms, and related SaaS applications that support operations, commercial teams, finance, and HR.

This role also carries explicit responsibility for identifying, piloting, and scaling practical AI use cases across the business, with a focus on productivity, workflow automation, knowledge management, analytics, service support, and other applications that improve decision-making and efficiency.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Technology Leadership & Business Partnership

  • Partner with the CFO, CEO, and executive leadership to develop and execute a practical technology roadmap that supports business objectives, growth initiatives, operational excellence, and post-carveout stabilization
  • Serve as a business partner to leaders by identifying technology opportunities that improve productivity, efficiency, customer service, data visibility, and competitive advantage.
  • Develop and maintain an IT roadmap that balances business priorities, operational needs, innovation, cybersecurity, cloud modernization, and infrastructure reliability.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, particularly AI-enabled and cloud-based tools, to recommend solutions that create measurable value for the organization.
  • Establish practical technology governance, standards, and policies that support business goals without adding unnecessary complexity.

Cloud Applications, Platforms & Data

  • Lead the selection, deployment, administration, and optimization of core cloud platforms and business applications, including Microsoft 365, AWS and/or Google Cloud, HubSpot, collaboration platforms, and other SaaS tools.
  • Oversee integration of business applications and data flows across operational, commercial, financial, and reporting systems to improve visibility, decision-making, and process efficiency.
  • Partner with business leaders and external vendors to implement technology solutions that are scalable, secure, and fit for a manufacturing environment.
  • Drive user adoption, training, and change management for new cloud applications and digital workflows.

Business Systems, Projects & Process Improvement

  • Collaborate with functional leaders to understand business challenges, identify technology-enabled solutions, and prioritize investments based on operational and financial impact.
  • Lead cross-functional technology initiatives from planning through implementation, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear business recommendations for executive and operational stakeholders.
  • Promote continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline business processes through technology, workflow automation, reporting, and AI-enabled tools.

IT Operations & Infrastructure

  • Provide leadership and oversight for IT operations supporting two manufacturing facilities, ensuring reliable, secure, and responsive technology services.
  • Ensure the availability, performance, and scalability of infrastructure, networks, end-user technologies, core applications, and cloud services.
  • Oversee software deployments, operating system lifecycle management, hardware configuration, help desk support, and vendor-supported technology services.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities for optimization, modernization, and risk mitigation.

Artificial Intelligence & Digital Enablement

  • Partner with leadership to define and prioritize a practical AI roadmap aligned with business goals and measurable ROI.
  • Evaluate AI platforms, copilots, embedded AI capabilities within SaaS tools, and third-party vendors, balancing build-versus-buy decisions against cost, scalability, data quality, and security.
  • Identify, pilot, and scale AI use cases across functions such as forecasting, reporting, knowledge retrieval, customer support, pricing support, workflow automation, and manufacturing productivity.
  • Establish and enforce governance for AI use, including data privacy, security, acceptable use, and responsible deployment practices.
  • Serve as a liaison between technical teams and business units, translating AI capabilities into practical solutions and communicating progress, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership.

Cybersecurity, Risk & Business Continuity

  • Develop and maintain a cybersecurity program that protects organizational assets and supports customer, operational, and audit requirements.
  • Strengthen identity, access, endpoint, backup, and cloud/SaaS security controls, including administration standards for Microsoft 365 and related business platforms.
  • Lead disaster recovery, business continuity, backup, and incident response planning to minimize operational risk.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards, policy requirements, and IT governance expectations through regular assessments and continuous improvement.

Financial & Team Leadership

  • Develop and manage the IT operating and capital budgets, ensuring technology investments deliver measurable business value and appropriate return on investment.
  • Establish performance metrics and service levels to measure IT effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
  • Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain a high-performing IT team while fostering a collaborative, service-oriented, and accountable culture.
  • Manage external vendors, consultants, managed service providers, and software partners to ensure service quality and cost effectiveness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
  • 5–8+ years of progressive IT experience, including leadership of small to mid-sized IT teams or major technology workstreams, with responsibility across infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and user support.
  • Demonstrated success leading technology initiatives that align with business priorities and deliver measurable operational results.
  • Hands-on experience deploying and managing cloud platforms and SaaS applications, including Microsoft 365, AWS and/or Google Cloud, HubSpot, and related collaboration or business productivity tools.
  • Experience leading technology-enabled process improvement, systems integration, and organizational change initiatives.
  • Practical understanding of AI tools and applications in business environments, including pilot development, governance, and adoption management.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing systems, infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, business continuity, and enterprise technologies.
  • Proven ability to build collaborative relationships with executive leadership and business stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes.
  • Strong financial acumen, including IT budgeting, capital planning, ROI evaluation, and vendor management.
  • Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and team development experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Office applications, networking, and enterprise business systems.
