Position Description
The Elya lab seeks to understand the mechanistic bases of behavior modification of fruit flies (Drosophila melanogaster) by the fungal pathogen Entomophthora muscae from molecules to circuits. There are open opportunities to work in project areas related to (i) identifying molecular and genetic effectors that give rise to fungal-induced summiting behavior, (ii) developing experimental techniques to alter E. muscae gene expression and achieve transgenic manipulation, (iii) determine the role of host and fungal circadian clocks in manipulated phenotypes.

Basic Qualifications
A Ph.D. in a relevant biological subfield is required.

Salary Range
Starting Salary for this position is anticipated to be $67,600 to $ 80,000. Pay offered to the selected candidate is dependent on factors such as years of experience, training or qualification, field of scholarship, and accomplishments in the field
