Job Description:

Position Overview: Functional Lead

Wilsonart, in Boston, currently has an opening for a Functional Lead. This person will Oversee specific office operation of the distribution center. Gives direction to all area personnel in the assigned department/location. Performs other tasks as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • • Oversees the operation of customer service and office functions
  • Trains office and customer service team members
  • Serves as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues
  • Assigns and supervises employee assignments
  • Maintains and processes all required documentation
  • Assists the needs of the customers
  • Performs other tasks as required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of safety standards applicable to the work area and other pertinent rules/regulations governing work activities
  • Knowledge of computers sufficient to utilize Microsoft Suite (spreadsheets, databases, etc.)
  • Ability to communicate well in oral and written forms
  • Ability to organize and prioritize activities
  • Ability to supervise/lead people
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Ability to analyze problems and develop solutions

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor Degree Required or equivalent combination of education and experience; 1yr experience may substitute for 1yr of degree

Business Administration or closely related field

EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years experience in Customer Service and leading in Customer Service Team.
  • Experience leading projects or teams in a manufacturing environment is preferred.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Sitting in the same location of standing/walking; required to stoop, climb or lift light material (10-20lbs) or equipment.
  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Examples: executive, management and support positions
