Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY:

The Supervisor is directly responsible for supervising hourly employees, setting shift/daily goals, managing inventory, driving success in all KPI’s and/or key business metrics (Safety, Quality, Service, etc.), driving performance improvements in managing cost and continuous improvement, and team member development. Performs other tasks as required. This opening is for evening shift.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Organizes personnel assignments and training to meet daily customer production schedules while maintaining safety and quality requirements

Perform daily employee performance & attendance management actions

Assist in developing and orientate new team members

Drive and lead organizational strategic imperatives and initiatives

Implement improvement ideas by leveraging team members feedback and suggestions on opportunities

Assist in developing a culture focused on safety, quality, delivery and cost

Communicate relevant business information, company policies, and business updates to team members

Collaborate cross functionally with other departments and organizational stakeholders

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Behavioral based safety

ISO Standards/Quality Management System

OSHA and Environmental standards

Performance Management

Operational Excellence / Lean / Continuous Improvement

Working knowledge of DMAIC methodology

Strong written and verbal communication

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION:

Bachelor Degree Required or equivalent combination of education and experience; 1yr experience may substitute for 1yr of degree

WORKING CONDITIONS:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Continuously stand/walk or lift/handle/carry material or equipment of moderate weight (20-50lbs) Examples: Nurses, LVNs and physical therapists

ENVIRONMENT: Located in an indoor area with frequent exposure to mild physical discomfort from dust, fumes, temperature extremes, loud noises and bright lights. Examples: mail clerks, material handlers and food service workers
