Summary:

The Vice President, Treasury is a strategic finance leader who will partner closely with the SVP, Head of Treasury to modernize and transform the treasury function into a scalable, data-driven, and highly controlled organization. Responsibilities will include oversight of the organization’s treasury operations, cash management, liquidity planning, banking relationships, treasury reporting, and operational controls. The VP of Treasury will lead initiatives focused on cash reconciliation, process improvement, automation, reporting standardization, operational efficiency, and strengthening cross-functional alignment across Finance, Accounting, Capital Markets, Servicing, and Operations. This individual will also be responsible for developing a more disciplined treasury operating model with enhanced transparency, governance, and analytical capabilities.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a key advisor and deputy to the SVP, Head of Treasury on operational, strategic, and organizational initiatives

  • Drive enterprise-wide cash reconciliation processes and improve alignment between treasury, accounting, finance, servicing, and other operational groups

  • Partner with Accounting and Finance leadership to ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of cash activity, balance sheet accounts, and treasury-related transactions

  • Evaluate existing manual reporting processes and implement standardized, automated, and value-added reporting solutions

  • Build robust cash forecasting and liquidity reporting capabilities to support executive decision-making

  • Support strategic initiatives involving warehouse lending, financing facilities, liquidity management, and corporate funding activities

  • Build, mentor, and develop treasury team members while fostering accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth

  • Leads and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring and performance management

  • Establish meaningful KPIs, operational metrics, and management reporting to improve departmental performance and visibility

  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.

  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position has direct reports. Manages staff and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

  • Minimum 12-15 years of progressive treasury, finance, banking, or corporate finance experience

  • Prior leadership experience managing treasury operations and developing teams

  • Experience driving process improvement, automation, and operational transformation initiatives

  • Strong understanding of cash management, liquidity planning, bank operations, and treasury controls, and reconciliation

  • Experience working within complex financial services, mortgage banking, or highly regulated environments preferred

  • Experience with treasury management systems, reporting tools, and financial process automation solutions preferred

  • Experience leveraging AI, automation, and data analytics tools to improve treasury operations, reporting, reconciliations, and decision-making processes preferred

  • Strong analytical and operational finance background with demonstrated ability to improve processes and controls

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • MBA, CTP, CPA, or other relevant treasury/finance certification preferred

Problems and issues faced are frequently complex and multi-dimensional, requiring broad-based consideration of variables that impact areas outside of immediate responsibility. Extensively analyzes problems to seek understanding of the underlying issue and root cause of the problem.

The estimated base pay for this role is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The estimated base pay for this position is the annualized equivalent of $211,000.00 - $249,000.00, depending on experience, qualifications, market location, and other job-related factors.
