Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Planner/Scheduler I in National City, CA.
Summary: Epsilon Systems is seeking an experienced Planner/Scheduler I to support U.S. Navy ship repair projects. This position is responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing integrated project schedules while coordinating with Program Managers, Project Managers, Quality Assurance, and customers to ensure work is executed on schedule.
The ideal candidate has experience using Open Plan, understands NAVSEA Standard Item planning requirements (009-060 and 009-111), and thrives in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Open Plan.
Reviews engineering plans, blueprints, and product specifications to determine material requirements in support of repair, fabrication, and/or modernization projects.
Considers all specified references including applicable NAVSEA Standard Items in the formulation of schedules.
Develops detailed IPS meeting 009-060 & 009-111 (current rev) requirements
Performs a wide variety of complex planning activities required to attain awarded projectsand to meet production objectives.
Works with Trade Foreman and other personnel to formulate estimates/schedules.
Analyze schedule impacts resulting from growth work, changes, delays, and emergent repairs.
Monitor schedule performance and provide weekly progress updates to project teams and leadership.
Assist in identifying critical path activities and recommend recovery plans when necessary.
Support schedule status meetings and provide schedule reporting throughout project execution.
Ensure schedules accurately reflect production progress and contractual requirements.
Requirements:
High school diploma/equivalent.
3+ years’ experience in planning/scheduling.
Must be proficient with all aspects of Microsoft Project and Open Plan.
Professional working proficiency in English is required. Candidates must possess the advanced reading comprehension skills necessary to interpret complex NAVSEA Standard Items, review detailed technical blueprints, and evaluate precise product specifications accurately.
Must have working knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models to extract material requirements.
Able to obtain and maintain access to military and government installations and private shipyards.
Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting U.S. Navy surface ship maintenance availabilities.
Familiarity with SWRMC planning and execution processes.
Familiarity with US Navy ships/terminology.
Pay Range:
The pay range for this is $33.65 to $40.86 per hour. This is a reasonable estimate for this role. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, education and experience.
