Scheduler is assigned to a project and reports directly to the Project Controls Manager (PCM) on all project related matters. Coordinates with corporate office for functional management. Functional management includes methods, best practices and long term career development and personal performance measurement.
The project field assigned Scheduler is responsible for the creation and maintenance of the project schedule. Depending on the size of the project the PCM may fulfill the scheduling responsibilities.
Responsibilities may include:
Administration
• Support the preparation of the specific project “Project Controls Plan” that is consistent with current Traylor Industrials SOPs.
• Operate in accordance with the site specific Project Controls Plan.
• Provide input to the weekly and monthly project reports in accordance with the project calendar.
• Attend and provide input to weekly production meetings, organize and manage progress and scheduling meetings.
• Attend Client meetings as necessary, taking the lead on schedule matters.
• At project completion gather and report information necessary to provide an historical record of the project performance.
Scheduling, Planning and Progress Measurement
• Attend estimating turnover meetings and gather information required to develop the information necessary to create the project baseline schedule.
• Play an active role in the project execution plan and WBS development to ensure that the scheduling efforts are coordinated with progressing and turnover systems completion and ensuring that client and corporate reporting can be as efficient and effective as possible.
• Coordinating with Field Engineering, superintendents to identify schedule activities and logical sequence of installation; develop and maintain a resource loaded schedule,
• Ensure that the P6 schedule is the “project schedule”, created by the project team for the project team.
• Perform critical path analysis, resolve scheduling conflicts as they arise.
• Monitor the schedule for delays, impacts and variances to the baseline.
• Provide schedule oversight and integration between master and sub projects.
• Analyze, trend and communicate schedule and progress information to project personnel through useful graphs and summary reports.
• Assist in the preparation of requisitions to ensure materials are received on site in a timely manner to meet install dates in the schedule.
• Ensure that the project schedule and WBS are tightly integrated and remain balanced throughout the project.
• Create and maintain manpower / manhour and commodity quantity curves as required by the client or at a minimum as required to provide effective reporting to the project manager and construction team.
