Sr. Accountant

Green Bay, WI 54311, US Full Time
Compensation: $75 to $85 Yearly

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to support financial operations for a manufacturing organization in Wisconsin. This role plays a key part in monthly close activities, financial reporting, and account analysis across multiple business units. The position also contributes to process improvement efforts, cross-functional support, and the development of team knowledge within the finance function.


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data in compliance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Review and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Analyze financial results and provide recommendations to improve business performance.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and required documentation.
  • Monitor and maintain internal controls to ensure regulatory compliance and minimize risk.
  • Oversee fixed asset accounting, accruals, prepaids, and other complex accounting transactions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to resolve accounting issues and improve processes.
  • Research and interpret accounting guidance and ensure proper application of accounting standards.
  • Assist with tax filings, sales tax reporting, and other compliance-related requirements as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive efficiencies within the accounting function.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.

• At least 3 years of accounting experience is required.

• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.

• Strong working knowledge of GAAP and its application in day-to-day accounting practices.

• Advanced computer proficiency, including Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications.

• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, solve complex problems, and work independently with limited supervision.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with willingness to travel occasionally as needed.


Compensation

$75,000.00-$85,000.00 Yearly
