Automation Engineer
Responsibilities:
• Install, oversee, and sustain automation equipment, system software, and related applications to support production goals and key operational metrics.
• Diagnose issues within automated manufacturing environments and provide technical support for controls, production lines, and robotic equipment.
• Program, adjust, and maintain PLC-based control systems, including work involving Allen-Bradley platforms.
• Identify needed spare components and service coverage, then coordinate sourcing decisions to maintain equipment reliability.
• Review automation and equipment solutions across manufacturing areas and recommend technologies that improve performance and maintainability.
• Test newly developed or updated software to confirm proper operation, compliance with user needs, and alignment with established standards.
• Support ongoing enhancements to manufacturing processes by analyzing system behavior and implementing effective automation improvements.
Qualifications:
• Experience in industrial automation engineering within a manufacturing or production setting.• Hands-on proficiency in PLC programming.
• Working knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLC systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot automated equipment, line control systems, and robotic applications.
• Familiarity with software validation, functional testing, and control system verification practices.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate technical options and recommend practical solutions.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.
Compensation
