Contracts Administrator

We are looking for a Contracts Administrator to support legal and business stakeholders with the preparation, review, and coordination of commercial agreements in Westmont, Illinois. This Long-term Contract position is well suited for someone with legal operations experience who can manage contract activity from initial drafting through final execution. The role will work closely with senior legal counsel and help maintain an organized, efficient contract process across the full lifecycle.

Responsibilities:
• Support senior legal counsel by preparing, organizing, and processing a wide range of commercial agreements.
• Draft, review, and revise contract documents, including software and SaaS licensing arrangements, to align with business and legal requirements.
• Manage contract lifecycle activities from request intake and document generation through negotiation support, execution, and record maintenance.
• Track agreement status, key terms, and approval progress to help ensure timely completion of contract workflows.
• Coordinate with internal business teams to gather required information, resolve contract-related questions, and maintain documentation accuracy.
• Use contract management and business platforms, including Salesforce, to maintain records and support reporting needs.
• Assist with legal operations tasks by improving consistency in contract administration practices and supporting established workflow tools such as ticketing systems when needed.
• Contribute to contract review processes using technology tools and AI-enabled resources, including platforms such as Claude AI, when appropriate.

Qualifications:

• Experience in contract administration or legal operations within a corporate or commercial environment. • Working knowledge of contract lifecycle management from drafting and review through signature and execution. • Background handling commercial agreements, with exposure to software or SaaS licensing contracts strongly preferred. • Ability to review contract language carefully and prepare clear, accurate revisions. • Familiarity with contract tracking systems or workflow tools; knowledge of Xakia is preferred but not required. • Experience using Salesforce or similar platforms to support documentation and process coordination. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple agreements and deadlines simultaneously.
The pay range for this position is $28 to $32. Benefits available to contract/contract professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
