Accounts Receivable Analyst

Dallas, TX 75201, US Full Time
Compensation: $80 to $92 Yearly

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Analyst to support revenue management activities for a legal organization in Dallas, Texas. This position focuses on reviewing client accounts, applying payments accurately, and helping reduce outstanding balances through consistent follow-up and analysis. The role partners with attorneys, clients, and accounting colleagues to address billing questions, resolve payment variances, and maintain healthy accounts receivable performance.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee a designated group of receivable accounts, review aging activity, and prioritize follow-up on open balances.
• Contact clients regarding overdue invoices, issue collection communications, and document all outreach and responses.
• Work closely with attorneys and internal accounting teams to clarify account status, address payment questions, and support resolution of unpaid matters.
• Arrange payment plans when appropriate, monitor adherence to agreed terms, and escalate concerns when commitments are not met.
• Apply incoming funds from checks, wires, electronic transfers, and other payment methods with a high level of accuracy.
• Investigate account irregularities such as short pays, overpayments, duplicate remittances, and unapplied cash, then take corrective action.
• Reconcile payment discrepancies by coordinating with internal stakeholders and external contacts to ensure account accuracy.
• Produce reports on receivables and collection efforts, identify patterns in account activity, and assist with audits or special revenue-related assignments.
• Maintain complete account records and provide additional support across accounts receivable and revenue operations as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in accounts receivable, collections, cash application, or revenue management within a services setting that requires careful attention to detail.
• Background in legal finance or familiarity with legal accounting environments is strongly preferred.
• Experience using Aderant or similar accounting software is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with careful attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently and in collaboration with others.

Compensation

$80,000.00-$92,000.00 Yearly
