IT Purchasing Manager
Responsibilities:
• Lead negotiations for technology contracts, balancing pricing, service quality, risk exposure, and long-term business value.
• Build and refine a structured approach for IT sourcing, supplier governance, risk oversight, and performance evaluation.
• Manage a broad portfolio of technology vendors spanning software, hardware, cloud solutions, and outsourced services.
• Establish measurable service expectations by defining and monitoring service levels, key performance indicators, and supplier outcomes.
• Identify opportunities to reduce technology spend and improve contract terms across a high-value vendor landscape.
• Guide and develop procurement or vendor management team members while promoting disciplined, cost-aware decision-making.
• Partner with stakeholders across the enterprise to align supplier strategies with operational priorities and technology needs.
• Maintain organized vendor documentation, agreements, and supporting records to ensure visibility and compliance.
Qualifications:
• Significant experience managing IT vendors, including strategic sourcing, procurement, and supplier relationship management.• Proven success leading complex contract negotiations for technology products and services.
• Strong background in software, SaaS, cloud, hardware, or outsourced service agreements.
• Ability to create and manage vendor performance programs using SLAs, KPIs, and other service metrics.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience influencing stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
• Knowledge of contract terms, supplier agreements, and commercial risk considerations in technology purchasing.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate vendor files and oversee multiple supplier engagements simultaneously.
Compensation
