Legal Administrator
Responsibilities:
• Organize, maintain, and update legal files to ensure documents are accurate, accessible, and properly archived.
• Prepare and submit electronic court and legal filings in accordance with deadlines and procedural requirements.
• Track important case dates, hearings, and deadlines while managing calendars for attorneys or legal team members.
• Enter, review, and support straightforward billing activities, including invoice preparation and basic expense tracking.
• Use case management software to monitor matter status, document activity, and key administrative updates.
• Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, and internal stakeholders to provide responsive customer service.
• Assist with drafting, formatting, and revising legal and administrative documents using Microsoft Office applications.
Qualifications:
• Prior experience in a legal department, law firm, or similar office setting is preferred.• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Familiarity with legal file organization, court documentation, and electronic filing processes.
• Experience handling basic billing or invoicing tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to use case management systems and maintain reliable records across multiple matters.
• Strong customer service and communication skills when interacting with clients and colleagues.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage calendars, deadlines, and competing priorities.
Compensation
