Quality Assurance Specialist

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist to join a manufacturing team in Carol Stream, Illinois on a long-term Contract assignment. This role focuses on inspection activities, documentation accuracy, and coordination with internal partners to help maintain product quality from supplier receipt through customer shipment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working with quality records and measurements, and able to contribute to issue resolution in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform incoming inspection support by reviewing receiving documents, confirming quantities, processing receipt-related records, and completing basic dimensional verification on supplier parts.

• Assist with final quality checks for outbound orders to ensure shipment documentation is accurate and customer-specific requirements are satisfied before release.

• Work closely with operations, engineering, and other internal teams to identify, communicate, and help resolve product quality concerns.

• Participate in investigations related to nonconformance issues and support root cause and corrective action activities as needed.

• Maintain organized and accurate quality paperwork to support traceability, compliance, and audit readiness.

• Complete inspection activities in accordance with established procedures, specifications, and customer expectations.

• Obtain any required customer approvals or certifications needed to carry out inbound and outbound inspection duties.

• Provide coverage and backup support for other quality team members when priorities shift or additional inspection capacity is needed.

Qualifications:

• Experience in quality assurance or quality inspection within a manufacturing, production, or distribution environment.

• Ability to review shipping, receiving, and inspection documentation with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Familiarity with dimensional checks and basic inspection methods used to verify part conformance.

• Knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective action practices for addressing quality-related issues.

• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.

• Exposure to manual testing, quality assurance testing, or related validation activities is preferred.

• Ability to learn customer-specific inspection expectations and serve as a dependable backup resource within the quality team.

Compensation

$20.00-$22.00 Hourly
