Paralegal

We are looking for a detail-oriented Paralegal to support a busy law firm in Marco Island, Florida on a Contract assignment expected to last a few weeks with potential for extension. This role will assist attorneys with litigation matters while also contributing to estate planning and probate-related work as needed. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable managing deadlines, and confident handling legal documentation in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and organize legal documents for litigation, estate planning, and probate matters.

• File court documents electronically and ensure all submissions meet applicable formatting and deadline requirements.

• Maintain case calendars, track important dates, and coordinate scheduling to support timely case progression.

• Draft correspondence, pleadings, and other legal materials under attorney direction.

• Transcribe dictated notes, recordings, and other legal content accurately and efficiently.

• Update and manage case information within case management software to keep files complete and accessible.

• Support attorneys with administrative and legal tasks assigned throughout the engagement.

• Assist with document handling and workflow coordination across active matters to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications:

• Experience working as a paralegal in a law firm or legal department environment.
• Background supporting civil litigation matters, including document preparation and court filing activities.
• Familiarity with electronic filing procedures and related court submission processes.
• Working knowledge of estate planning, probate, or estate administration matters.
• Proficiency using case management software and standard legal office technology.
• Strong transcription, drafting, and organizational skills with close attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and adjust priorities in a contract-based assignment.

Compensation

$22.80-$24.00 Hourly
