Mailroom Assistant

We are looking for a dependable Mailroom Assistant to support daily mail operations for a Contract position in Waltham, Massachusetts. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys hands-on work, stays organized, and can manage routine service tasks with accuracy. The position focuses on receiving, sorting, and delivering mail and accountable items across the Bentley campus while helping with a variety of general mailroom duties.

Responsibilities:

• Receive, sort, and organize incoming mail and packages for timely internal distribution.

• Deliver letters, parcels, and accountable items to designated locations across the Bentley campus.

• Process outgoing mail by preparing items for shipment and coordinating with USPS and other mailing services.

• Maintain accurate handling procedures for accountable deliveries and confirm receipt when required.

• Support day-to-day mailroom operations by completing basic clerical and service-related tasks as assigned.

• Monitor mail flow throughout the day to help ensure prompt pickup, processing, and delivery.

• Keep the work area orderly and assist with routine operational tasks that contribute to efficient mail services.

Qualifications:

• Experience handling mail distribution, mail processing, or similar support duties in an office or campus environment.
• Ability to manage daily mail activities with strong attention to detail and consistent accuracy.
• Familiarity with receiving, sorting, and distributing incoming mail and packages.
• Working knowledge of USPS procedures and general mailing practices.
• Capable of performing routine physical tasks involved in mail delivery and package handling.
• Reliable time management skills and the ability to follow established delivery procedures.
• Strong communication skills and a service-oriented approach to supporting internal recipients.

Compensation

$19.00-$22.00 Hourly
