Logistics Clerk

Robert Half is looking for a dependable Logistics Clerk to join a fast-paced distribution environment in Georgetown, Kentucky. This contract opportunity with potential for a permanent role is ideal for someone who enjoys coordinating transportation activity, communicating with drivers and carriers, and keeping shipment information accurate across each shift. The role supports third-shift dispatch operations from Tuesday through Saturday and requires flexibility for additional weekend overtime when business needs increase.

This is a 2nd shift position - 4p - 12a with overtime.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate overnight dispatch activity by assigning loads, tracking shipment movement, and keeping transportation schedules on target.

• Communicate with drivers, freight carriers, and internal teams to resolve routing questions, delivery updates, and service issues in a timely manner.

• Enter shipment, dispatch, and receiving information into company systems with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Monitor shipping and receiving activity to help ensure freight is processed correctly and documentation remains complete.

• Respond to inbound and outbound calls professionally while providing clear status updates and customer service support.

• Review transportation records and daily logistics data to identify discrepancies and escalate issues when needed.

• Support distribution operations by maintaining organized dispatch logs, shipment records, and communication notes.

• Work a Tuesday through Saturday third-shift schedule and assist with weekend overtime as required by operational demands.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in dispatching, logistics coordination, or transportation support.
• Strong data entry skills with the ability to maintain accurate records in a high-volume setting.
• Familiarity with freight carriers, shipping processes, and distribution operations.
• Customer service experience in a call center or similarly fast-paced communication-driven environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while remaining organized and detail oriented.
• Comfortable working overnight hours on a Tuesday through Saturday schedule.
• Willingness to work flexible overtime on weekends when needed.

Compensation

$18.00-$18.00 Hourly
