Order Entry Clerk

We are looking for a detail-focused part-time Order Entry Clerk to support an engineering team in California. This opportunity is a contract-to-permanent position for someone who excels at accurate data handling, organized record maintenance, and day-to-day administrative coordination. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with Excel and business systems while helping ensure customer orders are processed efficiently and correctly.

Responsibilities:

• Enter customer order details into internal systems with a high level of accuracy and speed.

• Check incoming order information carefully to confirm all required details are complete and correct before processing.

• Maintain organized order files and update spreadsheets and platform records to keep information current.

• Coordinate with internal colleagues to resolve order questions, status updates, and data discrepancies.

• Support reporting and tracking activities by compiling order-related information in Excel.

• Assist with general administrative tasks that contribute to smooth daily order processing operations.

• Ensure documentation tied to customer orders is handled promptly and stored in an organized manner.

Qualifications:

• Proven ability to perform data entry work accurately and efficiently in a business environment.
• Strong typing skills, including the ability to work at approximately 45 to 60 words per minute.
• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for tracking, updating, and managing records.
• Experience using CRM or other organizational systems to enter and maintain business data.
• Familiarity with NetSuite is preferred, though it is not required for consideration.
• Excellent attention to detail with a consistent focus on accuracy and completeness.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced work setting.
• Dependable availability and readiness to begin work promptly.

Compensation

$17.41-$20.16 Hourly
